WhatsApp Expands Support for Gingerbread Android Phones to 2020

It goes without saying that WhatsApp is currently one of the most used discussion applications. While there are a lot of reasons to know how Facebook's application has become one of the most popular discussion apps, one reason in particular is its availability on all major platforms.

WhatsApp is available on different platforms and supports even some of the older mobile platforms, including BlackBerry OS users, Android 2.1, 2.2, Windows 7 and more.

However, the company released a statement on a blog post, suggesting that it will end up with support for mobile platforms before the end of 2016 because only a limited number of customers are on these platforms platforms.

Well, it seems that the company has changed its mind once again. The same blog post now suggests that Android 2.3.7 and earlier devices support WhatsApp until February 1, 2020.

Is not that! Other old mobile platforms along with Android will also support WhatsApp for a certain period of time. Here are the details about the same thing:

·       Nokia Symbian S60 after June 30, 2017
·       BlackBerry OS and BlackBerry 10 after December 31, 2017
·       Windows Phone 8.0 and later versions as of December 31, 2017
·       Nokia S40 after December 31, 2018
·       Android 2.3.7 and earlier versions after February 1, 2020

It should be noted that some of the features developed for WhatsApp in the future will not work on these mobile platforms because the company will not actively develop for these platforms.
